Aden Administrative Modernization & Capacity Building

Aden Administrative Modernization and Capacity Building (AAMCB) Project is an important component of the Port Cities Development Program (PCDP) for Aden financed by the World Bank, which aims at developing the main port cities into regional economic poles by creating environments attractive to investments and to generate job opportunities.

The objectives of Administrative Modernization and Capacity Building Project include:

1. Increased accessibility of information on government-delivered services to investors to assist them in their compliance with the appropriate government laws, executive regulations, administrative processes, and procedures by:
   • Expanded availability of information through better and clearer documentation using simplified standard forms.
   • Improved distribution and publishing of information through print and electronic media.
2. Enhanced provision and delivery of government services to investors and citizens through:
   • Improved timeliness of services.
   • Improved quality of services.
   • Improved availability of services.
3. Use of automation, information systems, worldwide web, and other electronic means to support and enable the above wherever possible and consistent with the underlying goals.
4. Building capacity of Aden’s public sector to transform their role from policing to providing compliance assistance to citizens, investors and businesses; the establishment and operation of an Aden One-Stop Investor Services Center.
