Narrative Description of Project
The Cultural Heritage and Urban Planning Project intervention in Tripoli includes rehabilitation of the touristic areas around the Tripoli Old Town. Planners proposed moving the vegetable market of Bab Tebbaneh to a platform covering Nahr Abou Ali Channel and passing the traffic to Zghorta in an underpass. The changes of the traffic circulation requires also improvements to Mawlawiyah Bridge.
Description of Actual Services Provided
1- Validation of the Planning proposals as far as accessibility to the Old Town.
2- Level of service of the intersection in the study area.
3- Geometric design of proposed underpass and other intersections improvements.
4- Structural design of the underpass and platform to take the vegetable market.
5- Spot improvement of intersections.
6- Preparation of detailed design, cost estimates, and tender documents for implementation.
