Design  Review and Construction Supervision of Rehabilitation of 30Km of Al Sherqat Intersection- Ramadhanyat Road (Two Way) in Salah AL-Din Governorate

Narrative Description
of Project

The Project Development Objective is to improve road transport connectivity and safety along Route 1. The work to be executed consists of the rehabilitation of Route 1 at Salah Addin Governorate in Iraq.

The typical cross-section for this road has 4-lanes divided with a wide median.

Flexible pavement is used for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the existing road. It consists of two asphalt layers, one is an asphalt concrete binder course and shall be laid as per the site requirements and the other is an Asphalt concrete surface course layer that will cover the entire length of the road.

Comprises the rehabilitation of the existing road, but not limited to:

  • Repair and improvement of traffic safety measures
  • Stabilizing the outer and inner shoulders along the entire project length.
  • Repair of pavement distresses
  • Construction of rigid pavement instead of weighing station as included in the proposed variation order No.1.

Description of Actual Services Provided

Tasks during construction phase, like supervision of the running activities in respect of quality and in accordance with the contract documents.

Issuance of acceptance or approval of the required plans(TMP, ESMP, OHS, and Qa/Qc) and material submittal as required for the successful completion of the project.

Supervision of the testing of the daily works as incorporated on permanent basis at the project.

Preparing monthly progress and Environmental and social reports.

Keeping record of all the test reports, correspondence, quantity data’s and payment in a proper documental form.

Attend all the meetings related to the project progress and issues.

Preparing of the variations and other technical reports
