Narrative Description of Project
A reorganization of SGRO together with development of complete management systems was conducted. This included manuals for: Traffic, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, communications and signaling, warehousing, purchasing, accounting systems, information management, personnel and services.
Implementation of all recommendations, and training the local staff to carry out all functions were also performed.
Description of Actual Services Provided
Inception reports for the 40 Km long Malissa Gwandu- Dagene Road in Sokoto State, Nigeria, 100 Km South-West of the City of Sokoto and the 85 Km long Rabah-Gandi-Bakura Road lying along and in the immediate vicinity of the Sokoto River, intended to serve towns and villages on both sides of the river.
The reports included the comparative study of different alternative routes; the technical and economic feasibility of the location; and sitting bridges, culverts and drainage structures; and assessing the availability of construction materials and soil conditions.
