Several Training Workshops were designed to provide 75 and 104 staff members of Khalil Fattal & Fils (SAL) working within the Pharmaceutical Warehousing and Administration an intensive information and practical exposure related to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Warehousing Practice (GWP) in Pharmaceutical Warehousing Management.

The Workshops covered:

  • Analysis of GMP requirements.
  • Analysis of documentation requirements in GMP and GWP.
  • Overview of the storage handling and delivering conditions requirements.
  • Overview of packaging.
  • Overview of the transportation conditions requirements.
  • Warehouses work environment.
  • Maintaining the warehouse.
  • Maintaining the transportation hygiene and safety conditions.
  • Field visits and Surveys.

The documentation of the Specialty Department includes:

  • Review of the current situation
  • Prepare an assessment report
  • Review of a sample of policies and procedures
  • Define the documentation steps of processes, and document major processes
  • Introduce documentation improvement, process mapping, and finalize the department documentation manual

  • The principles and general requirements of GMP in warehousing and its benefits, and GWP in pharmaceuticals.
  • The categories of premises and warehouses.
  • The functions and importance of the procedures required in the warehousing.
  • The hygiene and the personnel.
  • The storage conditions of pharmaceutical products.
  • The stock management and control.
  • The preparation of safe packaging.
  • The safe transportation, storage and delivery conditions.
  • The documentation system, Quality Control Audit and customers relations satisfaction.
  • The policy and procedures manual.
