Manpower Development Project for Educational Management

Narrative Description
of Project

The Ministry of Education & Youth prepared a program to develop the Educational Management as a focal point in the development of the educational process in the Emirates, according to the latest developments in this area.

This program was addressed to one hundred ninety-four participants, from top and middle level management, from the various Educational Departments and zones in the Ministry. These participants were divided into 8 groups:

The following are the subjects that were covered by the program addressed to four top management groups:

  1. Planning, scheduling and managing the executive tasks. (3 days)
  2. Performance improvement of work flow and procedures simplification. (3 days)
  3. Leadership & behavioral skills. (3 days)
  4. Time management and decision-making skills. (3 days)
  5. Preparing indicators & follow up reports. (3 days)
  6. Leadership & motivation skills for work teams & individuals. (3 days)
  7. Meeting management. (2 days)

The seven subjects that were covered in the 4 middle level management groups are:

  1. Strategic management for middle level managers. (3 days)
  2. Managing, measuring & appraising performance. (3 days)
  3. TQM in education. (3 days)
  4. Time management & decision making. (3 days)
  5. Leadership & motivation skills for work team & individuals. (3 days)
  6. Effective report writing skills. (3 days)
  7. Meetings management. (2 days)

All Experts, Consultants and Trainers involved were chosen, with extensive expertise in the filed of Education, Industrial Management and Consulting.
